This has been the wettest April in the area in a long, long, long time. I'm talking like 5+ inches above normal, so the trail was soggy but the falls and Jacoby Run were raging.
The falls are reportedly about 1.5 miles from the trailhead, but it took us almost 90 minutes to hike in. Elevation gain is only around 400 feet and it's gradual, so it was a pleasant hike that even Beck could enjoy.
This photo doesn't do it justice. It's about a 30 foot waterfall that comes crashing down on the rocks below, feeding Jacoby Run. The water was ice cold and tasted great. Taylor smiled the whole time.
We hung out for about 45 minutes, just enjoying the scenery and water. The batteries in my camera died after only a few shots, which was a total bummer.
Let that be one of your first lessons in being prepared, Taylor.
